“In Times like These”
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
32 of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;
INTRODUCTION:
INTRODUCTION:
The word perilous means Dangerous times.
Dangerous because the truth is fallen.
14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.
Dangerous because the love of many is waxed cold. “Because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold”
Dangerous because it is the last days. Scoffers shall come in these, Satan and all the power of hell will come against the soul of man. Blinding their minds as angels of light.
I. IN THESE TIMES WE MUST BE SURE WE ARE IN THE FAITH

5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

1. The dogs are those that bring reproach on Christ
2. The evil workers are those that are filled with evil works
3. The mutilation is a reference to circumcision....
III. IN TIMES LIKE THESE WE MUST BE STEADFAST

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
